65 young people excited by social enterprise workshops

A careers surgery youth team have brought social enterprise to life for over 65 young people and youth workers/teachers in Wolverhampton through the Create Yourself-Create Change workshops.

The dynamic social enterprise workshops are the first of the kind in the country and use the Create Yourself-Create Change DVD tool kit to showcase the amazing impact other young people are making through after setting up a social enterprises.

The interactive session has also received amazing feedback from young people.

"I am excited about this new way of doing business and I am impressed at what we can achieve even at a young age", one said.

The teachers who took part in the workshops added: "The workshops were so much fun, even for us as teachers. The careers surgery team were excellent…we can now have new stimulus to keep our students engaged in subjects like business, maths and citizenship."

Because of the workshop's success, the careers surgery team are now planning to improve and deliver more workshops to 14-25 year olds around the UK throughout the year.
