Enterprising Solutions: Ten pioneers of social enterprise is a celebration of the shortlisted organisations in 2008's Enterprising Solutions awards, including winners The Phone Co-op.
The awards were founded in 1998 by the Royal Bank of Scotland, which sponsored them in 2008 in partnership with the Office of the Third Sector in the Cabinet Office. For the previous five years, the awards were co-ordinated by the Social Enterprise Coalition – the national body for social enterprise, the Department for Environment, Food and
Rural Affairs (Defra), the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) and the The Observer newspaper.
