Bridget Bygrave-Relf

The new CEO of Sunlight social enterprise was announced at the social enterprise sector conference Voice10 today.

Bridget Bygrave-Relf will fill the shoes of Peter Holbrook, who became CEO of the Social Enterprise Coalition in January.

Bygrave-Relf will begin her dual role as CEO of the Sunlight Development Trust and Sunlight Social Enterprises CIC in early April, Holbrook told the Voice10 audience.

She was previously transformation and policy manager at Medway Council and has a background in nursing as well as working with homeless people and people with disabilities. She was previously one of the directors on the board of Sunlight Social Enterprises CIC.

Bygrave-Relf said: 'I have a personal affinity with the values which underpin the work of Sunlight Development Trust and I'm ideologically committed to and inspired by human rights, civil freedoms and matters of equality, social inclusion and social justice.

'My role at Sunlight presents a significant opportunity to lead the organisation in achieving these aims.'
