The Social Enterprise Coalition (SEC) is looking for three new members for its revamped board.
The positions, which are unpaid, will complement SEC's new 46-member council.
The board, which will eventually have 12 members, includes three social enterprise representatives Emma Wilson, CEO of Local Care Direct, Dai Powell, CEO of HCT Group and Caroline Mason, director of Investing for Good CIC.
Steve Wyler, director of the Development Trusts Association, will fill the national umbrella organisation spot, Lucy Findlay, CEO of south west regional umbrella body RISE, represents regional networks and devolved administrations, and Alastair Wilson, CEO of the School for Social Entrepreneurs, represents partner organisations.
Two of the three new board members need to be already involved in social enterprise and SEC is keen to get applications from individuals with finance, marketing or communications backgrounds.
SEC chair Claire Dove said the new board structure was put in place to allow SEC to be as strategic and informed as possible.
'These three positions on the board give us the opportunity to cast a wide net in order to reach people whose skills will be complementary to the board we have in place already,' she said.
'Two of the positions must be held by social enterprise practitioners, but the third is open to everyone. We encourage professionals who believe they have something to contribute to the social enterprise movement to apply.
'We're looking to create a diverse, well-rounded board that is reflective of the social enterprise movement and the values it encompasses.'
The closing date for applications is Friday 16 October.
